SUMMARY:   Coordinates and attends events to assist China Peak in building a relationship with the local Hispanic community by performing the following duties.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 
1.  Organizes and attends local events to introduce and promote China Peak to Hispanic public.
2.  Arranges interviews between company representatives and representatives of schools, and clubs in the Central Valley
3.  Gives presentations at venues about skiing/snowboarding at China Peak.
4.  Writes or directs the writing of promotional copy for flyers, press releases, and other materials.
5.  Travel throughout the central valley speaking at and attending functions within the Hispanic community.
 
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:  Due to the many variables that affect winter resort operations, such as weather and number of guests, occasionally employees may be asked to perform other duties or assist in efforts outside their primary area of responsibility as needed, including performing in any subordinate position.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:  Must be at least 21 years of age.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be able to ski or snowboard
LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Must be fluent in both Spanish and English with the ability to speak, read, and write both languages.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
OTHER QUALIFICATION:   Must be able to travel and stay away from home for extended periods of time.  Individual must have a self start, outgoing personality.
TRAINING, CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:
            Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
            China Peak Mountain Resort On-Duty Skier/Snowboarder Certification to level 3 skills 
 
 
 
 
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMAND LEVEL:  2 – MEDIUM
            The physical and environmental demand level as described in Level 2 (MEDIUM) are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
            This is a Winter Resort Area.  It requires that work venues are varied and in many cases include steep stairways, multi-level buildings and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites.  Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery.  Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out.  Work days and hours, as well as the number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays.
