Description
SUMMARY: Works in a utility capacity, by transferring from one task to another maintaining, repairing and monitoring terrain features in the terrain parks and other locations where applicable. Acts as host in regard to crowd control, education and safety awareness and guest relations by performing the following duties.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.      Installs and maintains park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing and banner guarding.
2.      Maintains ongoing upkeep and repair of terrain features and equipment in the parks.
3.      Assists with special events including erection and maintenance of equipment.
4.      Monitors terrain features by visual inspection and testing according to company policy.
*Note: The department has established policies regarding which crewmembers may test which terrain 
            features, according to the crewmember's ability level and certification.
 
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Due to the many variables that affect Winter resort operations, such as weather and number of guests, occasionally employees may be asked to perform other duties or assist in efforts outside their primary area of responsibility as needed, including performing in any subordinate position.
 
·   certified LEVEL 4 FREESTYLE Skier/Rider- When authorized, may ski or snowboard over or on features that are taller than 10 feet. May also take jumps traveling more than 6 feet high and 6 feet in distance where the body endures impact upon landing.
 
 
·         CERTIFIED DESIGNATED JUMP TESTER - When certified and authorized, may ski or snowboard over the biggest jumps traveling approximately 30 feet high and 60 feet in distance (or more) where the body endures substantial impact upon landing.

              features, according to the crewmember's ability level and certification.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
TRAINING, CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
            China Peak Mountain Resort On-Duty Skier/Snowboarder Certification to minimum Level 3 skills

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMAND LEVEL: 3 – HIGH
 The physical and environmental demand level as described in Level 3 (HIGH) are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  This is a Winter Resort Area. It requires that work venues are varied and in many cases include steep stairways, multi-level buildings and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites. Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery. Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well as the number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays.
